Certificate Technical Degree

Inspection technologists perform nondestructive inspection of material, parts, components, and/or pressurized systems. They use a blend of quality assurance and materials science to make sure aircraft, chemical plants, pipelines, and bridges are structurally sound.. Hands-on classroom and laboratory training will prepare you for national certifications and an exciting, in-demand career.

Fixed Equipment Inspection Technology AAS

Technical Degree
The Associate of Applied Science degree prepares you for an entry-level career. Learn through the classroom and hands-on training in the testing, inspection, and quality fields. In your second year, you’ll focus on the inspection of welds, pressure vessels, pressure piping, valves, and advanced metallurgical techniques.
Length 2 Years
If you're studying full-time, you can complete the 60 credits for this program in five terms, including a summer term.

Fixed Equipment, Level 2 Certificate

Certificate
The Level 2 Certificate prepares you for the degree program, an entry-level career, or advancement in your current career. You’ll learn in both the classroom and through hands-on training in the testing, inspection, and quality fields. In your second year, you’ll focus on the inspection of welds, pressure vessels, pressure piping, valves, and advanced metallurgical techniques.
Length 2 Years
If you're studying full-time, you can complete the 45 credits for this certificate in four terms.

Nondestructive Testing Technology AAS

Technical Degree
The Associate of Applied Science degree prepares you for an entry-level career. You’ll get classroom training in six core testing and inspection methods, and you’ll receive the technical training you need to begin working in the testing, inspection, and quality fields.

Certificate
The Certificate of Technology prepares you for the degree program, an entry-level career, or advancement in your current career. You’ll receive classroom and lab training in visual inspection, magnetic particle testing, liquid penetrant testing, ultrasonic testing, and more.
Length 6 Months
If you're studying full-time, you can complete the 29 credits for this certificate in two terms.

Nondestructive Testing Technology, Level 2 Certificate

Certificate
The Level 2 Certificate prepares you for the degree program, an entry-level career, or advancement in your current career. Gain exposure to over a dozen nondestructive testing methods with hands-on classroom training.

Advanced Subjects for Certification

The following three courses require you to have five years of experience before you can sit for a certification exam. The College designed the courses for both those wanting to gain experience and those preparing to sit for exams.
  • NDTE 2411 Welding Inspection

  • NDTE 2440 Pressure Vessel Inspection
