Pasadena, Texas  San Jacinto College has announced a new partnership with MM-SEAS, a leading provider of USCG licensing software, to provide students with enhanced access to professional licensing support and tools through the maritime programs. This collaboration underscores San Jacinto College’s commitment to student success and to preparing the next generation of mariners for career advancement in the maritime industry.

Through this partnership, all students enrolled in San Jacinto College’s maritime degree and credit programs will receive a three-year membership to MM-SEAS PRO, a $297 value. MM-SEAS PRO members benefit from unlimited email and 1:1 virtual meetings with MM-SEAS licensing experts, as well as access to advanced features designed to simplify the often complex process of applying for, renewing, and upgrading Merchant Mariner Credentials.

Students enrolled in non-degree commercial maritime programs will receive a one-year MM-SEAS PRO membership, valued at $99, giving them access to the same suite of resources to support their licensing needs.

“MM-SEAS simplifies the application process by offering a step-by-step, guided approach for obtaining and renewing Merchant Mariner Credentials,” said Nate Gilman, co-founder of MM-SEAS.

“This partnership empowers our students with the tools and expert guidance they need to move confidently into their maritime careers,” said John Stauffer, associate vice chancellor, maritime.

MM-SEAS software was built by mariners, for mariners, with the goal of demystifying USCG licensing. Its intuitive platform ensures users can track progress, identify required documentation, and avoid costly delays and errors in their application process.

This partnership positions San Jacinto College’s maritime program as a pioneer in delivering practical, real- world licensing support to students—another reason why it's a recognized leader in maritime education.
