San Jacinto College Ravens baseball closed out its season at the Region XIV Baseball Tournament, ending the year with a 35-21 overall record.
The Ravens advanced to the postseason after a year that featured strong stretches of offensive production and key conference wins. San Jac posted multiple dominant early-season victories against Navarro College, Southern Union State Community College, and a three-game sweep of Howard College.
In conference play, the Ravens collected important series wins throughout the spring, including performances against Alvin Community College, Galveston College, and Wharton Junior College while also earning key victories over Blinn College during the regular season.
At the Region XIV Tournament in Brenham, the Ravens earned their way to the championship game before falling to Blinn.
Head coach Eric Weaver credits the development and resilience of a young roster that continued to grow throughout the season.
“Our freshmen grew up fast and embraced the standard, and our sophomores were the backbone of everything we did,” Weaver said. “Their leadership, toughness, and consistency set the tone for our season, and we’re grateful for everything they gave to this program.”
Multiple Ravens earned All-Conference honors this season, including freshman infielder RJ Olivares (London HS/ Corpus Christi), freshman relief pitcher Jorge Garza (Barbers Hill HS/Baytown), and sophomore Patrick Lewis (Manvel HS/ Manvel), who was named Conference Pitcher of the Year.
